Daniel Stockhammer is Professor and Head of the Built Heritage & Upcycling Unit at the University of Liechtenstein. His research and teaching focus on the resources of the built environment and on strategies for their preservation, reuse, and integration into a circular construction economy. His publications include the books "Building Additions in Steel. The Architecture of Vertical Extensions" (also published as "Continuer en Acier" [FR] and "Weiterbauen in Stahl" [DE]) as well as "Upcycling. Reuse and Repurposing as a Design Principle in Architecture" (EN/DE).

In addition to his work as a reviewer and his participation in working groups, he is the Academic Director of the AR doctoral programme.
